The Christmas Drive-Thru Experience: December 14th
Sunday, December 14 from 5:00 pm-6:30pm is an audio narrated journey through the Christmas story. Every year 150+ vehicles visit our campus to drive through the experience, and it takes 30+ volunteers to accomplish this powerful evangelistic outreach to our community. Help set up or tear down! Be an angel, Mary, or Joseph! In addition to live animals with the nativity, this year we will also be providing refreshments in the front circle so guests can connect with our church. This is a great service opportunity for entire Sunday school classes, small groups, families, children and youth. To sign up for your spot, visit wesleymemorial.org/drive or

New Books Trace Our Church History
For the first time in 25 years, a new written history of our church is available! A Pictorial History of Our Church has just been published—a two-volume hardcover set created by Roy Shipman, Co-Chair of our Historical Committee and noted author of several books on High Point history.
This collection includes over 700 pages and 1,000 photos, names, and events from our church’s rich story.
- Volume One covers 1856 through October 1960, when we moved to our current location.
- Volume Two continues from 1960 through 2024.
Books are available individually or as a set:
- Volume One: $40
- Volume Two: $50
- Complete Set: $90
These books make a meaningful gift and a lasting keepsake. Orders are now being accepted. Please make checks payable to Wesley Memorial and write "HISTORY BOOK" on the memo line. Bring your payment to the front desk of the church.
Support the Good Shephard Fund
Wesley Memorial has a special resource for church members in need of financial assistance called the Good Shepherd Fund. If you feel called to give to this important resource, please write Good Shepherd on the memo line of your check. Thank you for your support and helping maintain this fund that helps our church family.
Reaching Out in Times of Need
In times of challenge, we’re here to support one another. If you or a loved one have experienced a recent hospitalization or are facing a care concern, please contact our pastors. It's important to note that we are not automatically informed of hospitalizations, nor do we have access to hospitalization records. Therefore, the only way we can extend our support is if you inform us directly. Please be assured that we deeply respect your privacy and will not disclose any information about your situation without your explicit permission. Your trust and confidentiality are important to us. We're here to provide comfort and assistance in any way possible because your well-being matters greatly to us.
New Parent Ministry
Congregational Care Committee's New Parent Ministry needs your help identifying new babies born to members and active attendees of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church to recognize and honor them as they become part of the Wesley Memorial family. Also, please include grandparents' names and great-grandparents' names, if applicable. Thank you for your help in identifying Wesley Memorial's newest children of God.

Our Commitment to the community
The Missions team has decided to split our monthly Communion Sunday food collection between Open Door Ministries and Macedonia Family Resource Center. Both of these organizations are an integral part in fighting hunger in the High Point area. Macedonia received food donations from the postal drive in April but have already depleted their pantry as more families are requesting food. Many of these family units are becoming multigeneration because of the rising rent cost and the cost of living. Open Door Ministries provides critical services in our community for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and/or food insecurity. Wesley Memorial has been associated with this ministry for many years by providing both financial aid and volunteers. To help offset this increased demand for Food Pantry items, a collection of nonperishables is taken up each month on Communion Sunday.
Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025 will be our next collection going to Open Door Ministries.
Bins will be placed outside of all three services for your deposits. Please bring items as you're able, knowing your kindness helps our neighbors in need. Thank you for your generosity.
